Meet Our Directors

Monty Steenson

Monty has been a funeral director for almost 40 years and has spent most of those years working in the Waterloo Region.
He and his wife Karen purchased the Dreisinger Funeral Home in 2009. Monty was raised in Mornington Township on a farm north of Milverton.
He is a member of Gale Presbyterian Church, Kiwanis Club of Elmira, and is a volunteer board member of the Woolwich Counselling Centre.

Grace Maher

Grace has been a funeral director at the Dreisinger Funeral Home for almost 50 years, 
serving Elmira and the surrounding community her entire career.
She is the great-granddaughter of Christian Dreisinger, the company's founder.
Grace is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Elmira.

Becky Steckly

Becky has completed her first year of study in the Humber College Funeral Service Education Program
​and is currently an intern at the Dreisinger Funeral Home where she has been employed for the past five years.
Becky lives in Milverton and is a member of Burns Presbyterian Church.

Meet Our Support Staff

Karen Steenson

​Karen was raised in Waterloo. She and Monty reside in Elmira.
Karen previously worked as a legal secretary and a church office administrator,
equipping her well for her administrative duties at the funeral home.
Karen is a member of Gale Presbyterian Church.

Kathryn Young

Kathryn is the newest addition to the Dreisinger Funeral Home.
She assists with administrative duties, visitations and receptions.
Kathryn, born and raised in Waterloo and Elmira, has also lived in England and Australia.
