I am so sad and shaken to learn of Michael's death. He was so kind, so attentive to others, so constant in his mood, so inspired and so inspiring. He was always good advice and always attentive; always smiling; always benevolent. It lacks those who love it, it lacks rhetoric, music, science, but it also lacks those who want to build a better world and to whom he served as a guide.
I am wholeheartedly with you in this painful ordeal.
With all my sympathy. In eternal memory of Michael.
The entire community is less for Michael's passing, but infinitely more for having known him.
He loss is felt by family, friends, the community and the Elmira Library. We will always remember and treasure his reading of Rocky Mountain Locust at our local author's event in 2016.
My sincerest condolences to Shannon, Mike, Rob, and other family members and loved ones. Michael was such a lovely, vibrant person, and I count myself lucky to have know him as a teacher, conductor, musician, mentor, and friend. The world is less bright, for you no longer being in it, Michael, and you will be dearly missed.
In memory of an amazing man. I was lucky to be a part of the WLU Wind Ensemble from 1994-1998 under the direction of Michael. Sincerest condolences to his loving family.
Our warmest thoughts to all Michael touched.
Love and Light as you begin your new journey Michael. M
