Obituary of Marion Hall

Peacefully passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at Sunnyside Seniors’ Services.  Marion Hall, aged 93 years of Kitchener, formerly of Winterbourne, was the beloved wife of the late John Talbot Lee Hall (2013) for almost 60 years.

Dear mother of David (Lilla) of Kitchener, Stephen (Barbara) of Winterbourne, Nancy of Kitchener, Edward (Suzanne) of Ottawa, and Louise (Paul) of North Carolina.

Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Katharine, Timothy (Jennifer Lee), and Dorothy; Stefanie (Norm), and Ryan (Sarah) and by great grandson Grant.

Also survived by her brother Gilbert and sisters-in-law Eula and Eva.

Marion and John moved from Toronto to a farm in the Winterbourne area in 1953, where they raised their family.  Marion was an active member and contributor to the local community through her work with the Waterloo Historical Society, Anglican Church Women (ACW), St Aidan’s Elmira and St John’s Elora, and the local branch of the Federated Women’s Institute (FWIO) for which she was curator of the Tweedsmuir history of the village of Winterbourne.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Elora with The Rev. Paul Walker officiating.  A family interment will be held in the Winterbourne Cemetery.
