Obituary of Lovina Shantz

Passed away peacefully at her home, RR 1, St. Jacobs, on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the age of 85 years. Lovina (Weber) Shantz was the wife of the late Alvin B. Shantz (2003). Mother of Anna and Owen Weber of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Amsey and Eileen of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Minerva and Onias Martin of RR 1, St. Clements, Noah and Erla of RR 1, Holstein, Aaron and Anna of RR 2, Mount Forest, Mary and Allen Horst of RR 1, Harriston, Orvie and Eva of RR 1, Holstein, Lucinda and David Bearinger of RR 2, Mount Forest, David and Lydia of RR 1, St. Clements, and Edward and Anna of RR 1, St. Clements. Grandmother of 68 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Mary and Aaron Martin and Esther and Emmanuel Martin, and her brother Alvin and Almeda Weber. Predeceased by her parents Jacob and Rebecca (Gingrich) Weber and a granddaughter. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 1-4 and 5-7 p.m. and Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at the family home, 318 Hawkesville Rd., RR 1, St. Jacobs. A family service will be held at the home on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 9 a.m., then to Conestoga Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
